This unique wooden Jewelry Stand was inspired by an eighteenth century Sewing Chest found in the Smithsonian’s Castle Collection. The original was made of paper mache using a process patented in 1772 by Henry Clay of Birmingham, England. Today's version offers contemporary storage compartments and a removeable tray that reveals a secret compartment! Four entwined legs are carefully hand carved from poplar wood using baroque design.
